Meet Roman & Chloe
Introduction—
We want to thank you for looking through our profile and taking a minute to get to know our family. Our hope is that you will be able to see our heart for adoption as well as get a taste of what our life looks like. We are just regular people doing our best to create a life that is driven by purpose and meaning. We try to cherish the small things in life and try not to take for granted the many blessings God has given us. We are honored that you are looking at our profile and we hope this can feel like you are just hearing from a friend, and that it would help to bring peace to your decision.
Our Marriage—
We met in 2016 through mutual friends and immediately hit it off. We initially bonded over our shared love of travel but soon found that we connected on a deeper level. We found that we shared a love of family and a conviction to keep Jesus at the center of our lives. We were engaged a year after we met and married six months later.
Our marriage is one built on respect and shared vision. Through life's ups and downs we have chosen each other and pushed to build a marriage that can survive for the long haul. Where Chloe has weaknesses, Roman is able to support her through his strengths, and vice versa. We compliment each other well and work together as a team to reach the goals and vision we have for our family.
Our Adoption Journey—
From the beginning we had a desire to adopt and planned to make this a part of our journey together. While adoption was always on the radar, we began trying for a biological child shortly into our marriage. After a few years and no pregnancies, we started to question what was next. We knew God had called us to adoption so we started working towards making that a reality. God opened doors and our lives were forever changed when we welcomed our daughter, Clara, into our home in 2022.
Walking through the adoption process with Clara’s birth mom opened our eyes to the deep heartache and beauty that is a result of adoption. We are incredibly humbled and in awe of the hard decision she made to place Clara up for adoption. Clara will always know that her birth mom’s decision was made out of love. We strive to honor her birth mom and her extended birth family in how we talk to her about her origin story. Above all, we are teaching Clara that her identity is rooted in Christ and that she is a daughter of the King. We pray that she will always feel loved, known, and wanted.
Family, Community & Support—
We’ve been incredibly blessed with family and friends that surround us during the good and hard times. We have been rooted in our community here for over fifteen years and have made countless deep connections through school, our jobs, and church. We have attended our local church for the past seven years and have continued to grow in our walk with Christ while creating meaningful community. When we brought Clara home from the hospital we saw this community step up in a huge way by showering us with meals, diapers, money, and prayers. We were blown away and humbled by the support we received.
Roman has three brothers that all have busy families of their own, including one brother who has also adopted. Chloe has a brother and sister and maintains a close relationship with each one. Both Roman and Chloe’s parents are regularly involved in Clara’s life and are very supportive of adoption.
Our Home
Our home sits in a historic town in Idaho. We are minutes from downtown, the library, and multiple parks. We love where we live and are blessed to be in a safe and beautiful neighborhood. Our home sits on a large lot, which allows us the opportunity to have a large garden and chickens, as well as a yard for our daughter to play in. Our home is old and full of historic details that make it unique and cozy. With three bedrooms and a large living space, we feel like we have plenty of room to grow.
When the weather is nice you will find us outside. Clara spends hours playing in her sandbox, helping in the garden, and looking for treasures – usually a collection of worms, sticks, and leaves! Our animals are part of what makes our home feel like home and it wouldn’t be the same without them. We have a corgi named Marlo, and two cats; Cosmo and Fern. Their antics keep us laughing and they provide lots of cuddles.
Daily Rhythms
During the week Chloe tries to keep Clara on a regular schedule with lots of fun mixed in. Many of our weeks include a trip to the library, time spent outside, visits with friends, lot’s of play time, and baking together. On the weekends you can find us working on house projects, taking long family walks, going to our local coffee shop, and hanging out with friends and family. When we can we love to travel and Clara loves experiencing new places, especially if it’s the beach!
We value experiences over things, so as much as we can we try to get out and experience new sights and adventures. This could be as big as taking a cross country trip or as small as taking Clara to see the Christmas lights down the street. We love making memories together and find so much joy in watching Clara discover the world around her. Simple things, like going to the zoo, are so much more magical through her eyes and it is one of our favorite things about being parents.
Our Faith—
Our faith is at the center of who we are and it drives what we do as a family, and as individuals. We were both raised in Christian homes and are thankful that we never knew a time without Christ in our lives. We believe it is important to raise a child with a solid foundation in the Bible, and with an understanding of who Jesus is. We try our best to be an example of what it looks like to follow Jesus and we are quick to apologize when we get it wrong. What we have discovered along the way is that being a Christian doesn’t mean life is going to be easy, but we have found that if we focus on our relationship with Jesus he walks with us no matter the circumstances we find ourselves in.

About Chloe
Chloe is supportive, loving, intelligent, resilient, and compassionate. She finds joy in serving her family and creating a home that is welcoming. When Clara came into her life she felt like her lifelong dream of being a mom had finally been fulfilled. She finds so much joy in spending time with Clara and creating a childhood that is full of happy memories and special moments.
Chloe has many hobbies and finds it hard to focus on just one thing! She loves interior design and is constantly coming up with new ideas for the house, and when she has the time she likes to garden, cook, read, and write. She is a trained English teacher and has published a children’s book. She loves working with kids and watching them explore the world around them. She hopes to pass her love of learning on to Clara as she grows.
About Roman
Roman is a calm and steady presence in the lives of everyone around him. He is steadfast, loyal, caring, patient, and thoughtful. He loves his family and would do anything to serve them, including painting his daughter’s nails when she asks, and working on DIY projects that Chloe has come up with on the weekends. He does everything in his life with a level of excellence that goes above and beyond what is expected of him.
Roman finds great enjoyment and fulfillment in his work as a detective for a local city police department. He likes knowing that what he does is making a difference. When he is not working he is spending most of his free time with his family or fixing things around the house. He enjoys watching sports and his favorite teams are the Seattle Mariners and the Seahawks! He hopes one day that he can be a coach if our kids play sports.
