A Letter from Our Hearts—

Hello! We’re Nathan and Bailey and we are so glad you are here! We are honored that you are reading this and hope that this gives you an idea of what our family is all about. We are excited to grow our family through adoption and welcome a little one into our home. We can’t wait to share tradition, adventure and lots of love with them and with you.

About Us—

Nathan is often described as steady, calm and a natural leader. He is the rock of our household. Nathan is confident in who he is and is very protective of his friends and family. As an officer in the National Guard Nathan’s strengths of leading, decision making and being consistent shine through.

Nathan loves to have fun and is always ready for the next adventure. He is a huge sports fan and loves to play and watch almost any sport. Nathan also enjoys camping, fishing, being with his friends and family and working on his truck.

Nathan’s faith is a large part in who he is. He uses his relationship with God to lead him in his relationships with those he’s close to and to foster new relationships that come his way.

Bailey is known for loving to host and for making our house a place where people are comfortable and feel like they belong. Birthday’s, holidays and any reason to get friends and family together brings her so much joy. When she is not planning the next get-together Bailey enjoys spending time outside, going on walks or curling up with a good book.

Bailey’s faith is something she holds dear to her heart. She shows this through daily scripture reading and prayer but also by being an active member in church and involving her faith in every act and conversation she has.

We are adventurous and love to spend time outside--hiking, camping and fishing. We enjoy traveling and seeing the world around us, learning new things, trying new experiences and spending time with friends and family; however, we are also not opposed to a cozy night at home playing games or watching movies.

Nathan’s Words for Bailey

My favorite thing about Bailey is how much she loves those around her and always strives to make everyone feel welcome. She is my biggest supporter and does everything she can to support me in my military career, which I know is not always easy on her. Bailey will be a great mom who loves, celebrates, and supports our child with all her heart.

Bailey’s Words for Nathan

Nathan is my rock. Something people don’t talk about a lot is the man’s side and feelings going through infertility. While I was processing my own feelings, Nathan also had to process his. Through all of this, Nathan has never wavered in being a strong and supportive husband. He is a natural leader and hard worker but also loves to have a good time and is always ready for the next trip and adventure. His love is shown in the depth of how he cares for those around him and the quality time that he spends with those he loves. Nathan will be a great dad by leading by example in faith, being consistent, showing up, and making memories with his family.

Our Marriage—

We met online in May of 2020 and were married three years later. Our dating relationship was full of getting to know each other, traveling and making lots of memories while trying new things together. We just recently bought our first home and it has been so fun getting to set it up just for us and start to build our life and family together.

Our Journey to Adoption—

We started talking about adoption when we were dating. It was something we both had a heart for, and even then, we knew we wanted our home to be a place of love and refuge for everyone who entered.

After two and a half years of struggling with infertility, we began to feel that God was leading us to take the next step toward adoption. It was a path we had talked about and hoped for long before, but stepping into the process made that hope feel real in a new way.

One of Bailey’s close friends recommended The Heart Project. As we began looking into the agency and learning more about its heart for adoption, we felt that this was the right place for us to begin our journey. As we took those first steps, we felt an immense peace from God and a growing sense that He was leading us forward.

While we do not know exactly what the road ahead will look like, we are grateful to be here and excited to begin this journey with open hearts. We are trusting God with the story He is writing and praying for the child and family who may one day become part of ours.

Family, Community & Support

Bailey’s parents and grandma live in the area and we see them weekly. We stay connected to Bailey’s sister and cousin with regular FaceTime calls. While Nathan’s parents and siblings live outside of the state, we try to see them a few times a year and keep in contact with regular calls and texts. Nathan’s step brother and his wife are some of our closest friends and just moved in down the road. We also have a great group of friends and community support through work and church and we know that they will always support us in any way they can.

Our parents, grandparents, and extended family are overjoyed at the thought of welcoming another child. Support in our life looks like shared meals, prayer, encouragement, and celebrating milestones together. Our children are surrounded by adults who invest in them, listen to them, and cheer them on, and we know any child in our home would feel that same sense of belonging. Our friends and family are our greatest supporters.

Our Faith & Values

Our Christian faith is the heartbeat of our home– from daily practices to weekly church attendance and a little bit of everything else in between. Bailey was raised in a traditional non-denominational Christian church and Nathan was raised in the LDS faith but has since become a Christian. While we were raised with different church backgrounds we have found common ground on how we practice in our family and keep Jesus in the center.

We plan to raise a child with love, encouragement and safety when it comes to faith and want them to feel confident in asking questions as they discover who they are in Christ and what they believe.

Our Home & Daily Life

Our home is on the outskirts of our town. One of the things we love about our location is it opens us up to a slower-paced, routine with less traffic and more opportunities to be outside. Our neighborhood overlooks beautiful farm land and has several common areas and walking paths where you can find us in the evenings and on the weekends enjoying the fresh air and talking to our neighbors.

With four bedrooms and large kitchen and living spaces, we are ready to grow our family. Our intent when picking our home was that it would be full of love. While larger, we have tried to make it as warm and inviting as possible. We love having our friends and family over for a mid-week meal or just to hang out on their way home from work.

Our Commitment—

We promise to be a home full of love, respect, encouragement, safety and stability. We promise to honor your story and always show respect for who you are in our lives and in your child’s life. We know that parenting will not always be easy but we will approach it with grace, love, humility and respect.

We promise to love your child wholeheartedly and to be committed to providing a stable, nurturing home where they can grow, flourish, and always know that they are deeply loved.
