Meet Christopher & Ashley
From Our Hearts—
Hi! We’re Ashley and Christopher, and we are so grateful and honored to be considered as you walk through this process. We want you to know that you and the baby you’re carrying have been prayed for, and we will continue praying for you, regardless of whether or not we are chosen.
We hope that as you look through our book, you get a glimpse of the love we have for each other, our family, and our friends, and the kind of home we hope to share with a child. Most of all, we want you to know this: you are loved, and you matter.
Our Family—
We have two dogs, Lucy (Chicken Nugget) and Nelli Bean (Bean Bean). Lucy is our five-year-old chocolate Lab with lots of gray hair. She can read your emotions like a book and loves to snuggle. She eats carrots like they’re going out of style and can spot a Chick-fil-A bag from a mile away. She’s the calm, steady girl who will immediately put you at ease. She’s also 100% a Daddy’s girl.
Nelli Bean is a three-year-old black Lab. She’s our second pup and the perfect addition to our family. She’s full of love and life. If she could crawl into your skin to snuggle, she would! She has the softest velvet ears and the cutest wiggle butt. She’s definitely a Mama’s girl and has been known to sneak onto the bed to snuggle with Ashley at night.
On Ashley’s side of the family, we have her parents, two brothers, two sisters-in-law, and one niece. On Christopher’s side, we have his mom, two sisters, two brothers-in-law, two nephews, and one niece. We are grateful for the relationships we have with our families and the love and support they bring to our lives.
About Christopher
Christopher buys beef and ground beef for a local grocery store here in the valley. He also sings on our worship team at church and loves anything that gets him outdoors, especially fishing. He recently taught himself how to fly fish and even tie his own flies! When he’s not working, you’ll most likely find him fishing or at the gym. He also loves smoking meats and hosting guys’ nights at our house. Some of Christopher’s favorite things are Ashley, Alabama football (well, really all college football!), dogs, fishing, and the gym.
Christopher is hardworking, loyal, kind, and fiercely protective. He’s someone you can always count on. He will bring those same qualities of love, loyalty, and care to fatherhood.
Ashley’s Words About Christopher
Christopher is truly my favorite person. He can calm me down when I’m upset like no one has been able to. He’s truly the hardest worker I know, always going above and beyond to provide for our family, and take care of our friends. He has a generous heart, a witty sense of humor and the best smile. He is dependable, respectful and playful. He’s a great teacher, he always takes time to explain things to me when I don’t understand (like fly fishing). I know he’s going to be a great dad because he’s a great dad to our pups, and he’s a fun uncle to our nieces and nephews. Most of our friend’s kids call him ‘Boppy’ which we joke is his grandpa name, and they all love to play with him. He’s been babysitting with me over the years, knows how to change a diaper and is so patient. He’s my best friend and greatest love.
About Ashley
Ashley babysits part-time, loves hosting girls’ nights, and enjoys making our house feel like home. You can usually find her with her nose in a book, her hands in the dirt caring for her flowers, or out spending time with friends. She loves being outdoors with Christopher, snuggling with our dogs, and finding ways to serve the people around her and our church community. Some of Ashley’s favorite things are Christopher, dogs, arts and crafts, singing, and BBQ.
Ashley is extremely caring and always looks for ways to take care of the people around her. She is already wonderful with kids—she is patient, loving, and always makes sure everyone feels included.
Christopher’s Words About Ashley
Ashley is the most caring person I’ve met, not just with actions but with empathy. She wants to help with people’s needs physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Her goal in life wasn’t career or any material thing, it was to be a mom. She hasn’t had the chance to be a mother to her own children yet, but she has been a mom to all of our friend’s children. It’s so natural for her and that’s why I love her so much. She’s a great friend to be able to spend the rest of my life with. She’s helped me with my goals and I want to help her reach hers.
Our Marriage
We have been married for seven years and have been together for eleven. We met in a college group at church in 2015, and when Christopher walked into their Sunday school room for the first time, Ashley turned to her friend and said, “He’s so hot, I’m gonna marry that man.” And, she was right!
We dated for four and a half years before getting married in 2019. Ashley fell in love with Christopher because of his love for God, his steadfast love for her, and the way he cares so deeply for their friends and family. Christopher fell in love with Ashley because of her kind and caring heart and the way she makes the people around her feel cared for.
In 2021, we moved from Texas to Idaho for Christopher’s work. Since moving to Idaho, we’ve made Friday night date nights a favorite tradition. We love exploring together and have traveled throughout Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and parts of Wyoming. Some of our favorite things to do are trying new restaurants and coffee shops, visiting national parks, and finding new hiking spots. After eleven years together, we still love having time to simply enjoy each other and explore new places side by side.
Our Journey to Adoption—
Our journey toward adoption began back in 2017. Once we knew we were going to get married, Ashley began talking with Christopher about adoption and sharing about a calling God had placed on her heart several years earlier. We both knew that adoption was something we wanted to be open to, but we weren't sure when the right time would be.
After years of infertility and the heartbreaking loss of our daughter, Selah, we spent time grieving, praying, and seeking God's direction for what would come next. We now feel ready to take the next step and begin the adoption process.
Our desire to be parents is what has continually pushed us to continue investing in our marriage, creating a warm, loving, and safe home, and preparing our hearts for adoption. Adoption has never felt like a last resort to us. It has been something we have carried in our hearts for many years, and we are grateful for the opportunity to follow where we believe God is leading us.
We are excited about the possibility of sharing the love we have for each other with a child and watching them learn, grow, and discover who God created them to be. We hope to travel together, make lots of memories, laugh often, and create a home where a child always feels safe, known, and deeply loved.
We don't know exactly what the future will hold, but we are excited to continue taking each step with faith, hope, and open hearts.
Our Home
In 2024, we bought our first home in Boise! Over the last two years, Ashley has taken time to decorate, plant flowers, and cultivate warmth in our home. Christopher is her lucky sidekick, doing all the heavy lifting and hanging of wall art.
We recently moved our guest room upstairs to the loft as we begin preparing a nursery. Our vision is a calm oasis with a national park theme, filled with pictures we’ve taken on our many trips over the years.
Even though we love to host at our house, most evenings are quiet with our pups—sitting on the back porch drinking sweet tea and playing fetch, or watching our favorite TV shows. We both enjoy going for walks in the neighborhood or along the Greenbelt and hope to start a food garden in the near future.
We know our immediate neighbors, attend HOA meetings, and share the occasional cup of sugar or milk. We have a playground in our neighborhood, as well as several nearby!
Our Faith
We have been members of our church for five years, since moving to Idaho in 2021. We both grew up going to church and serving in different ways. Over the years, we’ve served in the nursery and on the worship team, cooked at a high school youth retreat in 2026, helped with VBS, and served at various camps.
We are also very involved and invested in our church community and neighborhood. We host a home group every week, as well as monthly gatherings for our friends. We love having people over and have built a wonderful village of people who surround us with love and support. We are grateful to have this community around us as we grow our family.
We hope to raise our children in the church, teaching them Bible stories, songs, and the truth of God’s Word. Our prayer is that their identity would become so rooted in Christ that, no matter what they face in life, they would have a strong foundation in knowing who they are and whose they are.

Our Commitment—
Our commitment is to honor your story and the story of your child. We want our child to grow up knowing where they came from and understanding that their story is an important part of who they are. We will speak about you with love and respect and make space for questions, memories, and the feelings that may come as they grow.
If our family becomes part of your child’s story, we will always remember that their story began before we came into it. We will do our best to honor their identity and the people who are important to them, and to speak about their adoption with honesty, compassion, and care.
