Meet Michael & Julianna
A Letter From Our Hearts—
Thank you for taking the time to learn about our family. We are truly grateful that you’re here and reading our story.
We don’t take lightly the fact that you’re considering adoption and looking through adoptive family profiles. We have so much respect for you and for the role you hold in your child’s life.
If you were to choose us, it would be an incredible gift. Our promise is to love your child wholeheartedly, to provide a home filled with safety, joy, and stability, and to always speak of you with kindness, respect, and appreciation. Your child would grow up knowing their story began with love.
Your child would grow up knowing their story began with love—that they were chosen intentionally and cherished every step of the way.
Our Family—
We live in Idaho with our two daughters, Dodie and Maya, who are truly the heart of our home. Being parents is the greatest joy of our lives, and our days are shaped by togetherness, curiosity, and connection. Our mornings often start slowly—coffee brewing, breakfast shared around the table, music playing softly while the girls giggle and play nearby. From there, life unfolds into creativity, learning, laughter, and often a bit of beautiful chaos.
We are a homeschool family, and learning is deeply woven into our everyday life. For us, education isn’t just about lessons—it’s about nurturing curiosity, encouraging questions, and cultivating a lifelong love of learning. Whether we’re reading books curled up on the couch, exploring a local museum, cooking together, or heading out on an impromptu day trip, we try to approach life with a sense of wonder and openness. We value curiosity, creativity, and helping our children see the world as a place worth exploring.
Adventure is something we deeply cherish as a family. We love taking trips together—sometimes big, sometimes as simple as a spontaneous day trip nearby. Exploring new places, hiking trails, visiting small towns, or just packing snacks and heading out for the day are some of our favorite ways to connect and make memories. We hope to raise children who feel confident exploring the world, grounded in who they are, and excited to keep learning well into adulthood.
Our faith and values gently guide the way we love and live. We strive to create a home rooted in grace, patience, service, and unconditional love—a place where children feel safe to be fully themselves and know they are deeply cherished.
About Julianna
Julianna is joyful, creative, and deeply nurturing, with a playful spirit that brings warmth and laughter into everyday life. She has a gift for creating beauty and meaning in the ordinary moments, balancing spontaneity with thoughtful intention. Much of her joy is found in the rhythms of home—slow mornings with coffee and music, reading stacks of books, gardening, homemaking, and creative projects that make a space feel cozy and alive.
As a mother, Julianna is deeply intentional about truly knowing her children—their hearts, personalities, fears, and dreams. She strives to be a calm and steady presence, someone her children can always come to for comfort, reassurance, and encouragement. She looks forward to sharing her love of books, music, meaningful conversation, travel, good food, creativity, and faith with her children as they grow. More than anything, she hopes her children feel grounded, heard, and deeply loved in her presence.
About Michael
Michael is passionate, attentive, and full of love. He brings energy and joy into family life—whether he’s leading dance parties, wrestling on the living room floor, teaching new skills, or curling up to read together. He values being present and building strong, connected relationships with the people he loves.
He has a creative side that comes alive through tabletop games and creative writing. Storytelling, imagination, and shared play often turn into family game nights, lively conversations, and stories that spark curiosity and laughter in our home.
Michael also prioritizes physical health and enjoys staying active through running, training, and events like the Spartan Race. Movement is simply part of how he lives and connects—whether he’s training or playing outside with the kids.
Above all, Michael approaches fatherhood with intention and heart. He is patient, kind, hardworking, and deeply devoted to his family. His love for his daughters is steady and protective, and he would welcome another child with the same encouragement, affection, and unconditional love.
Our Children
Our oldest, Dodie Bea, brings creativity and warmth to our home. She loves drawing, music, and dancing, and approaches life with curiosity and excitement. She connects easily with others, offering kindness, silliness, and a big heart that keeps us laughing. Being a big sister is something she treasures, and she shows such gentleness and love toward her little sister. She often talks about how special it would be to welcome another sibling one day.
Maya Beth is pure sunshine. She greets the world with giggles and wide-eyed wonder, happily following Dodie’s lead and soaking in everything around her. She loves books, photos, new experiences—and discovering new foods makes her especially happy.
Our hope as parents is to raise children who feel safe, deeply loved, and truly known. We would be honored to welcome another child into our family, nurturing strong sibling bonds rooted in kindness, connection, and care.
Our Marriage—
Michael and Julianna met in 2017 through a mutual friend when Julianna was hired to take Michael’s headshots for a local community theater production. Their connection was immediate and undeniable—Michael asked Julianna out that very day, and they have spent very few days
apart since. Six months later they were engaged, and they were married shortly after.
At the heart of their marriage is a deep commitment to one another, rooted in friendship, faith, and open communication. They have walked through seasons of joy, loss, growth, and change side by side, always choosing to face life together. Their relationship is marked by laughter,
grace, and mutual support, and it provides a strong, loving foundation for their family.
Our Journey to Adoption—
Adoption has been on Julianna’s heart since she was young. Years of volunteering with children and families—locally and internationally—shaped a deep love for caring for vulnerable kids. After moving to Idaho, that calling became shared, and she and Michael stepped into foster care.
Walking alongside foster children, both in and out of their home, only deepened their desire to adopt. Through many conversations and prayer, they felt led to grow their family through adoption.
They are in a stable, loving season of life and feel emotionally, practically, and relationally ready to welcome another child.
If chosen, they would step back from foster care to focus fully on bonding and building attachment as a family. Michael is blessed with generous paternity leave, and they often picture slow mornings together—sisters laughing, coffee on the counter, time in the garden, and a baby held close.
They believe open adoption, when mutually desired, can be a beautiful gift. It matters deeply to them that a child understands their story and the love behind it, and that you are always spoken of with honor and respect.
Faith, Community & Support
We are incredibly blessed by the community that surrounds us. Our village is made up of family, close friends, and our faith community, many of whom live nearby and are deeply involved in our lives. Gatherings are often filled with laughter, shared meals, children playing together, and meaningful traditions.
Our parents, grandparents, and extended family are overjoyed at the thought of welcoming another child. Support in our life looks like shared meals, babysitting, prayer, encouragement, and celebrating milestones together. Our children are surrounded by adults who invest in them, listen to them, and cheer them on, and we know any child in our home would feel that same sense of belonging.
Our Faith & Values
Our belief in Christ Jesus is the cornerstone of who we are as a family and shapes the way we love, parent, and show up in the world. We strive to live out our beliefs through patience, compassion, service, and grace, and to create a home where love is unconditional and forgiveness is practiced freely.
We are actively involved in our church community, which provides spiritual grounding, encouragement, and meaningful relationships. Faith is something we desire to model rather than force—allowing our children space to ask questions, explore, and grow while always knowing they are deeply loved and supported. We believe every story is sacred, and we are committed to honoring a child’s history, heritage, and birth family with respect and care.
Our Home & Daily Life
We live in a family-centered neighborhood in Idaho filled with parks, walking paths, community events, and young families. Our two-story home has four bedrooms and is full of light, music, books, cozy corners, and creative spaces.
Our backyard is one of our favorite places to gather, with room to run and play, a small garden, a trampoline, a playhouse, and space for imagination to flourish. Weekends are often a blend of adventure and rest—coffee shop visits, church on Sundays, family dinners, outdoor exploration, home projects, and quiet moments together.
We strive to create a home that feels warm, safe, and welcoming—a place where curiosity is encouraged, emotions are honored, and love is always visible.
What We Hope You Know About Us—
Above all, we want you to know that your child would be deeply loved—for exactly who they are. We believe children thrive when they feel safe, known, and connected, and we are committed to offering that every single day. We value openness, honesty, and honoring every part of a child’s story.
If our family were chosen, your child would grow up knowing their life began with courage and love. They would know that you matter, that their story matters, and that their life is something to be celebrated.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our family and our hearts. If our family feels like a possible fit, we would be truly honored to walk this journey with openness, respect, and care.
